We were on one of those picturesque tram going back to the old town. There is something special about Prague. It is always full of tourists, but no matter how full the streets are, I feel alone in the world. Prague makes you wonder. I have to admit, I was the weird kid who dreamed of castle, dragons, cavaliers and Robin hood while every other kids were dreaming of being a member of Nsync or a football star. I always wondered how was life back then. I am not going to make a lot of friends back home (I probably already pissed you all off all with my Nsync comments), but I kind of like Queens and Kings. I understand all the good arguments against royalty, mostly the economic ones, but I think it is charming, ... read more

Have you ever ask yourself what was the real reason behind all your travels? Is there a deeper meaning hidden behind the obvious? I always had a tendency to run away. It is so easy to deny the truth. It is so easy to pretend you ain't scare, pretend over everything. I always liked my drinks, not that I need it, but life always seemed simpler after a few consummations. From when I remembered, I always wanted to leave my small town, I thought nothing could be achieved in that hole I didn't choose to grow up in. I first moved out of my parents' place. I didn't go far, I moved 10 minutes away from their place. Everyone at college were wondering why, but my closest friends were not making a big deal of it. ... read more

Nostalgia: nos·tal·gia näˈstaljə,nə-/noun 1.a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations."I was overcome with acute nostalgia for my days in college" I always loved that city. Renting a car and driving the big, the not so big and the very small streets of a country is one of the best way to visit a country, if you can do it with one of your good mates it's magic, in our case, a bit insane, not to say terrifying. This is the tale of two dudes in their mid-twenties driving across Holland. Before you start strolling down, please remember we were in Amsterdam ...and this is more or less the story of what we remember of our time in this beautiful city. First-of-all, Holland is an amazing country. The countryside is simply stunning. Going around the vast flower field and around the windmills on a bike is an amazing experience. It brought me back in time and remind me of the long bike ... read more

I was at this funky bar. Don't ask me where it was and what was the name because I don't remember. It was one of those nights you like to tell your pals about without really knowing if what you remember of it, really happen. There was a train in the bar and they were playing this catchy electroswing. I had a drink or two too many. To be really honest, I probably had ten or fifteen too many, but you know ... what's the point in denying it. I like my drinks. So, there I was in a bar, or on a train in a bar sipping another of those great Belgian beers, when I saw her. She was standing there with her friends, about ten meters away. I don't remember her name, but I ... read more

I ran around for years, looking for answers that were buried deep under blood and hate, dirt and shame. Still today, I struggled to control my sense and can't fully understand. I remember the ritual like it was yesterday. You were once again leaving. During a couple of seconds which felt like hours. My world was stopping. My eyes were getting wet, but I couldn't look away. I knew only too well what was coming, but couldn't do better, but look at you as you were leaving. Questions were popping inside my heads and getting lost through a chaos of sadness and incomprehension. I was acting tough and I kept telling people that you were a good man and you were doing this for the better good, but I was burning from inside. Not long before, ... read more

The sentiment of mercy is the natural recoil which the laws of the universe provide to protect mankind from destruction by savage passions. I was standing there, in front of my life a glass of whiskey in one hand, not knowing what to write and where to start. I had been exactly in the same position for the best of the last four months. Standing over a book which barely had half a page left in it; trying to write something that would make people react ... But I had no clue. After all this time on the road telling people it was what we were made to do, telling people I couldn't imagine myself not moving every day... That there was image of the wild world popping in my head every time I was closing ... read more

It was one of those days you wish to forget. The kind that makes you rethink your entire travel itinerary. It rains cat's and dog's all day and even the locals were losing their smile. We had not seen the sun for almost four days and what was at first a lovely city was now becoming a dark and grey jail where all ideas of happiness and joy where taking away from you. When I was about to give up, something truly beautiful happen. I ran up the stairs of the building we were in and start staring at what looks unreal. The clouds were fading away and the sky was turning orange. The sun was reflecting on the water on the grass and it was making you almost blind. Less than twenty minute later, as ... read more

I ain't doing cocaine and I am not living high in the clouds by Marijane. Nonetheless, I am an addict and no matter how many times you are telling me it's all in my head, I still feel powerless. Like a bird, all I dream of is to take off on a sunny day and push my wings until the place looks right and be ready to do it all again when it is time. But if really there is a path to fallow, you can try to catch me and cut my wings. Be aware I won't surrender easily and getting carry back into your gaol ain't an option. I know a game isn't one if your opponents have no chance to succeed. So, I am in Iceland at the moment and it's beautiful. Good ... read more

There is some place in the world you just feel good. New York city always been special for me. The first time I went to Manhattan, I was stressed. Will it be safe? The bus dropped us just outside central park and we start walking in small groups. Some dogs were running freely not far from us and a bunch of people where watching some kids play baseball. We stop for an ice cream and kept walking, amaze by what looked unreal to us. It was about ten years ago. I was in high school and was going to live in New York for a little while to play Basketball. I still remember the weather and every single detail of that day. New York is the theater of dreams, the one and only. *** We were ... read more
